  1. Hmmm... a Jew for Jesus? I've heard of a Christian that wore a Star of David with a cross inset.

  2. I would think it to be oddly affectatious, unless a Jewish friend, Rabbi, or other teacher helped bring her closer to God in a significant way and she wears the yarmulke in tribute.

She must know on every level that it will be misinterpreted.  However, that may be her motivation...for other people to ask her so that she can talk about her faith.

I'd suggest instead that she wear a combined Star of David/cross pendant [as another poster mentioned] or a charm bracelet with the two symbols as separate charms.

But to each his [or her] own.  This is the land of free speech, and thank God for that.

  3. Honestly?  I would probably think she was a very feminine Jewish man...

  4. Well, I looked on Wiki and it says that it can be worn by men and women.  If a person wished to do something to acknowledge God in their life I think they should reflect how it will be received.  Some were and are called to adorn  themselves, mainly Jews, and even though they receive scorn for this they do so to honor God.  I am okay with it.  Many wear crosses and it is nothing but an accessory.

  5. I would feel sorry for her.  That's one confused lady.  She both misunderstands the Jewish reason for wearing a yarmulke, and the Christian way to acknowledge God.

    All the best.

  6. mommanuke already summed up what I was going to say. This Christian is a very confused woman.

  7. How would I know you're Christian unless you told me? Are you going to go around saying "hello random person I'm a Christian wearing a yarmulke".

  8. Very fashionable and trendy, considering that men traditionally were the wearers of the yarmulke.

  9. I would think she was not Christian, but Orthodox Jewish.

  10. I would think she was confused.  First because it's a Jewish symbol, and second because it's a symbol meant to be worn by a man.  It's much more common to wear a cross around your neck.

  11. If it helps her to get closer to God and it is not against God's word (the bible), than its ok.

  12. I'd call the 'fashion police".  Unless her name was "Yentle"......LOL
