If you knew information about something that happened and the law was offering a reward when would you get it?

---Information was given to the law about a case they had no clue about and there is a reward for someone to give information about it so that has done been done so when would the person get the reward? The cop told this person "Get up with my in a day or two about the reward" --should the person that gave the information about that case go to the sheriff to see about it? Because this information was given to the officer, only to him.....How does this work when it comes to the REWARD?

  1. You probably would not get the reward until the criteria for receiving the reward is met. For example 'the arrest and conviction' is usually the criteria for receiving a reward..
