If you knew someone had been abused ?

If you knew someone had been abused and they were polite but not very sociable would you think they were snobs or would you assume the abuse might make them socially awkward/shy/distrusting?

I would assume they were untrusting and withdrawn out of fear.

It depends if you could be abused but be poplular and cover it with a fake smile

or you could be shy or withdrawn

or you could be sort of in the middle not popular bet still have friends

I agree.  I would assume the withdrawn nature resulted from the abuse.  I hope people are understanding with you.
