i want to put a quick release clamp on my seat post, how know measure what size clamp i need?????

  1. Mirage is correct... post size means nothing.


  2. take the seat post out and measure its diameter. that is the dimension on the clamp. it could be 27.2, 28mm or 32 mm

  3. Measuring the seat post itself will tell you nothing about the clamp size. Geez.

    If your clamp is removable there is a very high likelihood that the size is stamped inside the clamp. If not, youll have to measure the INSIDE diameter of the clamp to get it right.

  4. You could measure the diameter, but you could also read the measurement on the post itself. usually covered with grease. clean off the old grease and look at it.
