If you like dolls does it mean that you will be a good mom?

Ever since I was a young girl I always loved dolls and wanted a collectible one. I have always wanted a lifelike newborn doll and never got one. Well now I am 20 years old and still want one. Is that silly? I think if I got one or started to collect dolls everyone would laugh at me. I was talking about this with my mom the other day and she said that it was okay. Lots of older women have porcelain dolls and stuff and that liking dolls will make you a good mom someday. So what do you think...do you think that girls that didn't play with dolls when they were younger can be better moms than girls who did play with dolls? Would it be weird if I got a doll at my age?

dolls and babies really have nothing in common, im highly doubtfull that just likeing dolls alone will make you a good mother, it shows your maternal side but doesnt show that you have patience controll and unconditional love, all of which a baby needs, not to mention everything else involved...

the fact that you had to grow up early may be the reason your drawn to dolls, you might subconsiously feel like you missed out on that part of your life and feel that the mature way to express that loss is to have a real baby but its not the reason to go ahead and have one, there is emotionally alot more involved in caring for babies other than just wanting one because your too old for dolls.... i see where your coming from but i dont think a baby is your answer....
