  1. yes because the cage would smell and the cage would get dirty and germy. Even if it weren't litter trained, you would still have to clean the cage once a week.

    I hope this helps!

  2. well.....yes you would b/c if water splills it can cause mold u should chang the cage at least every 2 weeks

    p.s. it's imposible 2 traiin a hamster nnot 2 do that!

  3. yes because the food that might drop out of the bowl can become spoiled which might lead to your hammy eatsing spoiled food

  4. You'll certainly need to continue cleaning the cage. With any rodent, litter training greatly minimizes the smell, but it is all concentrated in one area you have taught her to "go." That particular area will need cleaning even more often, perhaps daily, to prevent smells and bacteria from building up. The rest of the cage won't need cleaning as often as it used to, but of course you will still need to clean it occasionally! Food will rot if there are any fresh veggies or fruits [these should've been removed anyways if she didn't eat them..]. I'm not a hammie expert, I own gerbils, but I do know that the cage will need cleaning about every two to three weeks with hamsters. You never know if they will use the selected potty spot every single time, and it's nice to let them have some fresh bedding as well. I've watched a friend of mine's hammies before and noticed that their cages indeed need cleaning a lot more often...perhaps because gerbils are desert critters and their poos are small and hard. xD Most of the information should be accurate, but if I slipped up on something about hamsters, it's because I haven't had one for seven years, and even that was only a dwarf. =3

  5. yes because it still has to go to the bathroom and the bathroom is only the cage

  6. YES! It's like not cleaning your house because you have a toilet!

  7. yes!!  even though your hamster is litter trained.. many hamsters kick out some of the litter.. mine does some.(like a dog) and so youll stil have fecies and stuff around the cage.. plus all the food?? it could get rotten and very yucky and can cause your hamster to get ill..and somtimes the hamster will still (pee) in his cage.. like if hes running on the wheel .. he will probly just go... which is also why you have to litterally wash its cage..good luck

  8. Of course you have to!

Food will become rotten otherwise, even the bedding can rot and then you'll get bugs that will try to harm the hamster.

And mind you, just because you train the dear, doesn't mean that s/he won't be prone to accidents.

Plus bacteria will build and that can make you as sick as it could your hamster.

  9. Are you kidding, do you know anything about hamsters?

You probably will kill it. Yes clean the cage every 5 days

  10. Yes. If you don't, food that fell out of the bowl could rot and your hammy could end up eating rotten food.
