Is it up to you to know this, or should the company changing the exterior of your house check this before undertaking any work?

  1. It is up to us to know this as opposed to the company working on the house for you. The local council would know this however, so contacting them is all it would take :) They would then even be able to offer suitable businesses to do the work with all this information in mind.

  2. When a contractor does work for you they will not seek the relevent approvals unless you specifically request them to. It is your responsibility to do this normally, builders just build. I would suggest you talk to the local council or seek the help of an architect or planner to arrange the relevent approvals

  3. its   down  to  you  to  find out ,
