  1. Yeah, Hillary's statement  offends me.  I live in Maine, a small caucus state.  I find Caucuses to be more trustworthy, especially since the hanging Chad debacle, it also allows the party a venue by which to introduce new people to party politics.  at this years caucus, we added 4 new member to the local DNC.

Now, to address a common misnomer about Caucus politics:

You can vote absentee in a Caucus!  As a precinct captain at my local Caucus, I had to tally the absentee ballots myself.  I would love to know who is spreading this misleading rumor, and I would love to see it stopped.

  2. It's just a fact that any candidate needs the bigger states in order to win.

  3. Caucuses are NOT as important as primaries.

Caucuses are open only to a few, primaries are open to everyone.

Caucuses are a throwback to frontier times and should be abolished.

  4. I live in California, so I guess this question doesn't apply to me, but I find her whole strategy stupid. The big-state strategy makes sense in the GOP primary since so many of states are winner-take-all. The Democrats often allocate delegates proportionally, though, making big-state victories not as important. That's evident in the delegate totals - Clinton's taken most of the big states, but she's trailing behind Obama because he walked away with delegates from the states where she was victorious.
