The only requirement to go the Dominican Republic is to have your valid passport and pay a $10 dollar Tourist card when you arrive at the airport. Other than that is only the precautions you wish to take, to be honest with you I can only recommend to not drink tap water ever. Always get bottle water since your body is not adapted to certain things, have a safe trip!

it is entirely up to you but i would at least make sure you were up to date on your tetanus shot. and i would get a hepatitis vaccination also. i work in a dr's office and we do a lot of foreign travel shots. i am also going to the dominican this summer for my honeymoon in punta cana. i just recieved my first round of the hepatitis series on the 24th. you can go to your local health department for the best deals on travel shots since insurance hardly will pay for them.

you dont want to drink the water and that is why the hepatitis is recomended.

No dear you don't need anything. The only things you must take in mind are :

1. Don't drink to cold the first days after your arrival, your body is not used to it.

2. Don't drink water from the tap. You can use water from the tab to brush your teeth's.
