  1. Arabica coffee plants produce the best tasting coffee beans, assuming that they are only picked when fully ripe and that they are processed and roasted with much care. This is what makes the difference between gourmet coffees and all of the rest.

Starbucks is known as Charbucks because they roast an extremely bitter coffee that needs a lot of milk and cream to cover the awful flavor. Starbucks actually sells more milk than coffee. That is not the place to go for a good cup of real coffee.

  2. hmmm.. comming from me a person who does not even drink coffee I would think it has a not so strong taste  I heard the best coffe is colombian>?

  3. It's great.

But 80% of the coffee produced is Arabica.

So most of the coffee we buy is Arabica.

Keep in mind that the roaster is very important( just as important as the bean).

Good coffee+ bad roaster= bad coffee and so on.

Most Colombian( if not all) is Arabica.

Arabica is not a destination IE Brazil, Costa Rica, Kenya etc etc, it is a coffee type( bean type) grown in many places

    Your missing it here.

Chances are Starbucks is using Arabica.

It's just a type of bean.

    Most beans are "Arabica".

It's the roaster that is just as important( the person who roasts the beans) and I think "Starbucks" overdoes it a little.

I find their coffee a little burnt and bitter( a sign of over roasting).
