first , u go to craig at the paladin training ground and start conversation, then u find something thats bout a knight title in memo(i think i cant remember) then he will tell u wat do do next.

Yes you still have to begin on G1 to go to G2 unless you are going to skip G1. I don't recommend skipping G1 because it has a really nice storyline contributing to G2 so you know what happened... but your choice. I don't think the Weird Cat is glitched... like that guy said above, maybe you need services. Hope you find a solution to the problem =/
