if you made and animal....that had white thick fur, lived in the arctic, ran as fast as a cheetah and had a ponsonis tongue...what other characteristics would you put on it that would help it survive in its habitat (arctic)....also it looks like a wolf but stronger.

I'm asking this because i have a project were i have to make up my own animal and I have to put in characteristics that will make it totally different then any other animal but it has to be realistic...like for example the ability to talk to aliens from space....that is totally unrealistic....PLEASE HELP

P.S don't forget it has to be a characteristic that will help it survive in the arctic!

thank you

  1. How about a giant white Arctic attack squirrel.

  2. maybe on the feet you can have some sort of flippers and claws so it can swim under water like a seal and hunt for fish. Some snakes when hunting can see the heat set off by prey to find food give it to this animal as well. Give it the ability to hibernate whenever it chooses so that if food runs short in the arctic it can just sleep and get back up when the time is right and there is enough food. Change colours in the arctic if you think that comes in handy..,

  3. first of all, their hair would have to be clear. A polar bear, for example, has clear fur. but they have sooo much of it it looks white. second of all, it would have to have excellent protection and grips on its feet because if you run that fast in the snow you could cause an avalanche. Obviously it would have to be flexible to run that fast. why dont you research polar bears and cheetahs and foxs and any other animal so you can create a realistic animal??
