I'm considering getting my license here in Florida, and then transfering to Texas.

  1. You contact the Department of Professional Regulations (the dept. that oversees licensing of professional careers) in the state you want to move to.  They can tell you if your license will transfer, what you will need to do to transfer it, and if you need to take any tests or additional classes to transfer.  It's usually a pretty simple thing to do- make sure you check into it well in advance of moving because the paperwork may take a couple of weeks or more and it will cost to get the new license. Good luck, I'm an LPN and loving it.
