  1. No. Vegetarians don't willingly partake in animal flesh.

I'm a lifelong non vegetarian. I've never been able to step up to the plate, this qualifies me to answer your question.

  2. no you are a vegatarian if you don't eat meat at all

  3. No. You either eat meat or you don't, there's no sometimes.

I've been seeing a certain ID that keeps re-posting and mocking another ID's answer. You sound closed minded and jealous.

  4. No.

If you eat any meat any time you are not a vegetarian, you are an omnivore.

  5. no.

  6. no that sounds like hypocrsisy it shouldnt matter what the day is you stick to your ethics and its by far harder for those people who are vegans on thanksgiving then the vegetarians to the point vegetrians and vegans i know throw there own thanksgiving dinners and hang out with there friends instead of family so they can actually eat

  7. Technically your not, but that is only by definition. You will still be as healthy as a vegetarian because one day of eating meat wont kill you!

  8. ur a part time vegetarian... dont feel bad im nto a vegetarian at all

  9. Nope! You shouldn't eat meat on special occasions, there is no occasion special enough to murder an animal!

    seriously dude! Think about it!

  10. Well, it really depends on how you see it.

  11. If you are truly a vegetarian, and believe in animal rights and not killing animals.....how do you justify killing animals for your Thanksgiving dinner?  The animals don't care which day you kill them on!

  12. turkey is polutry, and that is the triditional meal

  13. I don't consider myself a vegan as much as meat/poultry abstinent. I don't eat meet because I know its wrong, not because I don't want it. A true vegan/veg., in my opinion, can't bear the thought of eating meat, so no I wouldn't consider eating animals on special occasions vegetarian like.

P.S. I will indulge in the wild turkey we kill each year, but I won't eat animals strictly raised only to be murdered.

  14. I don't think so

  15. Nope.  Vegetarians don't eat meat at all.  I don't know why you can't just eat everything but the meat.  If you eat meat just to make someone else happy you are not standing following your heart.

You changed into a vegetarian for a reason.  I don't know why a vegetarian would go against their beliefs once a year honestly.

Does a nun have s*x once per year?  Nope.  She took a vow of celibacy.  You said your were a vegetarian, which means you don't eat meat anymore...I think you get the drift.

  16. No.  Vegetarianism is for life, baby!  There are lots of other good stuff to eat on thanksgiving.

  17. no, vegheads dont eat any meat, not even on special occasions

  18. No. Vegetarians don't willingly partake in animal flesh.

  19. Yes your a vegetarian but not like a ORTHODOX super strict vegetarian.

  20. it means you are splurging, or whatever they call it

if you are a vegetarian because you are against eating animals then you are hyprocritical.you are just taking an innocent break if its for health reasons

  21. Vegetarians don't eat meat...ever.

  22. What is your relationship with your family worth? I try to be really inconspicuous and eat a lot of green beans, cranberries and salad, maybe offer to make the stuffing (then sneak in veggie broth instead of turkey broth), but if someone is gonna be offended if I won't even try their fluffy sweet salad with milk and gelatin, i would rather call myself a cheater for a good cause than risk alienating anyone, so I will eat a spoonful. Although I am vegan, so my cheating for the greater good usually comes in the form of milk, not meat. I think you can still call yourself a veggie as long as you don't cheat 'cause you WANT to, and you don't just go on a meat binge once you get started.

  23. You need to ask yourself WHY you are not eating meat - the environment? The cruelty? The health benefits? All of these require a life long commitment for them to have any real effect.

People are vegetarian for many different reasons - eating fish is rather cruel, and so those of us who are veggie because of the cruelty would not see you as veggie.

I'm British, and so I don't know too much about Thanksgiving, but I would like to know why you are veggie only on this day?

  24. get yourself a nice tofurkey, they look like a turkey breast, have stuffing and gravy, definitely not as good as the real thing, but you wont feel so left out at family functions if you still want to keep you "status"
