  1. Most counties turn around requests within a week of getting them. Many turn them around the same day if it's an easy request. Just make sure you send payment according to their guidelines. Sending personal checks slows things down. Going through a service like VitalChek doesn't make it go faster or easier. That just costs more.


  2. Depends on the workload of the particular county and the ease they have of getting the records.  In the U.S., each state has its own laws and regulations about who, when and where a person can get ital records on another.  Different counties within a state can operate a little differently.  I know in Texas the cost can vary from county to county.
