If one has not filed their state and federal income taxes and owe money to the state and federal, would one still qualify for a federal job who is also a veteran?

  1. This gives you a failure rating on part of the integrity test.


  2. I doubt that they would hire you if you were required to file but didn't. When I was hired for a state job they made sure I had filed and paid my taxes and warned me ahead of time that if I hadn't they would not hire me.

  3. Not likely. They do a financial background check on almost everyone who applies for any kind of government job.

    If you're the type of person who doesn't file their taxes, you're generally not the type of person they'd hire.
