Do you really have to let the criminals shoot first? If you know well what they're doing would it be alright to kill them if you could prove it after the fact anyway?

  1. In the state of Texas you may shoot any individual for being on your property without your consent...

  2. unfortunately, you can't lawfully shoot somebody unless they are forcing their way into your home.

  3. You would need to have clear and convincing proof that they posed some sort of danger to you that justified shooting them.  The burden of proof would be on you to show that this threat existed.  For example, if they were waving guns around then you could shoot them.

  4. Sure -- if you want to go to jail for murder or assault with a deadly weapon.  Yes, you're allowed to defend your homestead, but only if there's an immediate threat to your life or safety.  People simply running or driving across your property are not a threat to you.  No judge is going to be sympathetic to someone who got p!$$ed off just become some yahoos were trespassing and he decided to shoot at them.

  5. Well you "can" shoot, but trespassing isn't a defense to murder.

  6. What Valerie said

Just call the law, shoot only if you feel they are about to cause you harm.

  7. in most places they would have to be posing a threat your life or the life of someone else before you could shoot. But your question is silly to begin with, you should already know this.

  8. you would kill people for trespassing ?

so much for the Lords prayer eh ?

    ---------------------------

if someone is trying to "take your life" then you can use a gun in self-defense you dim-wit

  9. Well you "can" shoot but it would be illegal............

please....don't listen to the voices in your head

  10. If driving/running across is a crime enough for you to shoot them then go ahead & empty the gun.

  11. IN TEXAS YOU CAN

  12. You can't shoot them for trespassing in most states. If they were threatening in some way I think you could get away with it, but do you really want to be known for shooting people. Kind of crazy

  13. No you cannot shoot. You call the police for trespassing. Seeing the questions you are asking, makes me wonder if you are old enough to be in YA. You must be at least 13.
