Need a simple, sophisticated, stylish yet quirky name. Oh, and if any one is rude about vegetarians, or says "I would add meat to the menu" I will report them! Grr.

  1. Tabulay

  2. Natures Wonder

  3. i don't like "literal" restaurant names....for example, burger king, joe's bbq, etc.

i think restaurant names are more interesting when they peak your interest and make you want to find out what kind of restaurant it is.

for example, restaurants with names like "the palomino" and "32nd and main" wouldn't give away the whole idea of the restaurant.

it would also depend on what type of food you serve.  it is upscale, casual, outdoor, breakfast/lunch only, dinner only? etc. etc.

i would suggest less literal restaurant names that don't scream, "hey, we're vegetarian," and might make some meat eaters look into your restaurant, too.

you could name it after anything you like.....a color, fruit, someone's name...anything!

if i had a vegetarian restaurant, it would be upscale casual with sections of outdoor dining.  i would call it, "the purple fig". =)

  9. I really like the name “Lentil as Anything” – which is already being used in Melbourne Australia.

I think it is a word-play on the 1980’s Australian rock band “Mental as Anything”

Anyway, I think it is very clever.

  17. Hmmmm.... I feel the proper name should be exactly what you are going to serve. If it is totally vegeterian, like only veges and herbs then the name should be (TO ME) "VegeHouse".

If I will to open to my restaurant, I will name it Dr. EatVege

Hopefully, mine won't be the stage for reportation.

  18. I've always had a thing for the name "Muffin's Breakfast Nook" where the waiters wear muffin shaped hats - I really don't know why, I'm extremely weird.

Maybe something cute like The Happy Cow (wait, is that already a website?) or Vegelicious or Veg-a-rama. Or Peace. The Happy Pig?

  19. I would call it something personal to me, or related to the location.

I don't see how it hs to relate to the food served, are all other resturants called "Dead Cow Delight" ?

Ours is just called after the name of our house, as are all the other veggies places I know.

I've been to veggie resturants recently called "The Salmon Leap" and "The Trotting Mare"...Both completely veggie and the names just relate to (a) location on the river and (b) the building was originally a race stables.

VegOut doesn't say much to me, it have no connection to the owner or location - i want Character
