If you paint the walls of a bedroom, do you also paint the inside of the closet?

And if you do paint the closet, do you paint it the SAME color as the bedroom or a different color?

I would paint the closet.  Even if it is just white.  You are already painting and it doesn't take that long.  As far as the door goes, I like painting the trim and leaving the door wood.  If it is painted already then paint it to match or complement the walls.  Sometimes we want a door to blend in, to make the room seem larger, if only a little.  Sometimes it's important to preserve details.

well, personally I cheat and just paint the frame. I figure no one sees my closet so if its installer white its ok.

You can do whatever you want.  Personally I've never painted the inside of the closet because hardly any of the walls show and I never spend much time in there.

If you already have the paint, go ahead and paint the insides of the closets. It sounds like it would look cool, especially if the doors are going to be open. I'd suggest the lighter of the two colors, and make sure you have a fan going to circulate air in and out of the closet since it's such a small working space.

Why not just paint a border around the top of the closet the same color as the room. That way you won't use a lot of paint and it will still match the room. Also, if it is a dark color it will make the closet look small and dark. If you just paint a border it will bring it all together and not look so dark. You just tape off an even border, tape the ceiling and paint in between. Hope this helps.....

if your going with a color scheme it would be cute to paint it a different color.

but it you don't paint it it's not that bug of a deal because the door to most closets stay closed so no one is really going to see it except you and the people you live with.

I wouldn't bother if I were you.  The door will stay closed most of the time and it won't be that easy to see the walls.  If you were going to paint it though, I would paint it the same color.  :)
