  1. Most prices are per person with double occupancy. Basicily you pay the same price for the cabin weather youre 1 or 2 (most cl have 100% single occupancy charge most of the time). There is a lower fare for the 3rd guest. I wouldnt recommend more than three adult in a standard cabin and that would be tight to. Johan

  2. The price advertised is the price per person per cabin and is the price you pay per person for two people in the cabin ( all prices are for double occupancy)

If you want to go alone the price can be nearly double for the privilege of having a cabin to yourself.

If 3 or 4 people occupy the same cabin the third and fourth passengers get a reduced rate.

4 adults in a cabin can be quite cramped, you need to be really good friends. It's like 4 adults living in a child's single bedroom for the length of the cruise.

  3. Most cruise ship cabins are designed to accommodate up to 4 people.  Yes the price does change if there are more than 2 people.  All cruise lines cabins are sold based on "double occupancy".  That mean that at least two people must be booked for the cabin.  You can if you want go alone in a cabin BUT then you will pay what's called a "single supplement".  That essentially means that you will pay a fare that is about double the rate for one person.

No passengers cruise in any cabins for free, not even kids, grandma, or uncle Joe.  When you have more than 2 people in a cabin the price for the 3rd and 4th passengers is about 50% of the rate for the first two passengers.  And it does not matter whether the 3rd or 4th are adults or kids.

Some ships have cabins and suites that will accommodate more than four people.  For example, Royal Caribbean has some "family suites" that will sleep 8 people.  Again, the first two people will pay a full rate and the others will pay a reduced rate for that cabin.

  4. When you pay for a cruise, you typically pay per person, not per room, because the cost of the cruise pays not only for the room, but for food and entertainment costs as well.

  5. The price usually changes for the 3rd person and so on.  The cabins vary on how many they can hold and range from 2-5. I think 5 would be a tight fit usnless it was a suite. When we put 3 in a room , we usually add the cost of the room and divide between all of us so everyone pays the same fare. Keep in mind, anymore than 2 person involves a bunk bed situatuion.. Have fun
