  1. Usually they will not allow you to cancel a prebooked shore excursion outright - unless you are simply changing your mind and going on another one instead.

If you want to cancel you should do it before you get to the ship. You can usually do that without penalty

To whoever marked me down - I work with Cruise Lines and I worked for them for a long time previous to that - just telling it like it is. If you dont believe me I would suggest you read the small print when you book on line

  2. On Princess, no problem cancelling with no penalty as long as you do so before the cut-off date, usually 48 hrs before.  Check the daily "Princess Patter" for deadlines.

  3. From my experience, yes you can cancel and most times they have a cancellation penalty.  You can also book excursions as soon as you board the ship, so if you're not sure you might want to wait.

  4. yes you can cancel, but you have to do it usually 2 days in advance of the shore excursion. You will get all your money back. We have done this several times. Now if the cruise ship screws up and an excursion is canceled by the ones that do the excursion, even if it is on the day of the excursion, you  will still get all your money back. This happened to us once when we were to go to  Rum facility, but they were closed because of a holiday.
