this question doesnt make sense, first of all the glass would brake first, secondly a well would have to be a h**l of a way down, there wouldnt be that much pressure in a well, pressure only matters in the sea, as theres soo much water around you

The jar is sealed so the pressure within the jar will not change significantly.

As the external pressure on the jar increases due to increased depth of water, the jar would contract slightly before eventually imploding.

The depth would be depend on the compressibe strength and thickness of the glass or the lid, depending on which was weaker.

well most of us spotted the implode bit, but really you would have to go a h**l of a way to implode the jar, and then why would the wasp implode, its pretty much air free inside, so its going to bake due to the heating effects long before it gets flattened. Gold mines in South Africa have struck water close to boiling. There is an equation for depth to temperature but I doubt it is going to help, since most wells are either water or oil, and neither gets anywhere near the sort of temperatures/ depths we are looking at

If the jar is rigid(like glass)then dropping it down a well will not change the volume of the jar OR the mass of air contained in it so  I think it's fairly accurate to say their will be no material change in pressure until the jar is crushed.In water that might mean more than 200m down.and then it would be catastrophic for the striped pointed assed aquanaut!
