  1. Not because he was a better boxer, but definetely, Sonny Liston.

  2. Sonny Liston because he would be packing a .45auto.

  3. Well if they aren't getting paid, then all of them...

  4. 17th century British boxing champions like Figgs would wipe our guys out in a matter of seconds.

The reason is the boxing rules back then still allowed wrestling, head butting, choking, kidney punches, rabbit punches and submissions. They were basically  UFC champs.

AND after their boxing bouts they then had to fight with cudgels(big wooden staffs) and fence with swords to decide who is the best fighter over all.

  5. George Foreman..

  6. Lol this is a very intersting question, well if this was a battle royal then those who would be likely to win are those that are accustomed to street fighting and brawling since boxing skill wouldn't really help, so i can see guys like foreman, dempsey, jim jeffries and tyson winning, foreman because of his superior physical power, jack dempsey because he pretty much fought to eat when he was broke on the streets, jim jeffreis because he boxed in a very physical and rough boxing era and tyson because of his viciousness, imagine a tyson that was actually allowed to bite people's ears off!...evander holyfield could survive because of his mental toughness and willingness to fight dirty, rocky marciano might stand a chance due to his toughness but ultimately my vote would go to......gene Tunney....you know why? Because he would be smart enough to walk out of the room before the fight started.

  7. jack johnson...street,ring,backroom..jack johnson beat up five men in one night at the same time.

  8. Foreman.  The rest of them would be on the ground with a weird grill like pattern indented into their heads.

  9. NOBODY "out toughs" EVANDER HOLYFIELD. He is THE "Real Deal" and Prize Fighting's Ultimate "Warrior!"

  10. No one would walk out fighters like being around other great fighters walk out man these guys would pay to be in the same room with each other . Tell me if Mike Tyson had the chance to est in the same room and talk to Rocky Marciano do you think he would say no I,m out of here come on guy.

  11. Don King, on his way to the bank.

  12. That is an easy question to answer, provided that you believe all that has been written on this very topic over the years by journalists, fight commentators, boxing coaches and trainers, and boxers.

    The name is Joe Lewis.

Of course, not everyone on Yahoo Answers will agree. It depends on who you ask.

    So, let's ask George Foreman.

I think most people would agree that he is a strong candidate as the toughest of all heavyweights. He also fought some of the best heavyweights in history, and is also an avid boxing historian.

He recently ranked the top ten heavyweights in history.

I put a lot of credence to Foreman's personal ranking of all the heavyweight champions because he is not some glitzy sports writer or armchair fighter, but a great heavyweight.

I especially respect his ranking because he does not even list himself in his own top ten.

Furthermore, his list is pretty much in agreement with other respected boxing authorities over the last decades, if you check those in Ring Magazine.

His top ten ranking ranking as follows:

    1 Joe Louis

    2 Rocky Marciano

    3 Lennox Lewis

    4 Mike Tyson

    5 JL Sullivan

    6 Jack Dempsey

    7 Muhammad Ali

    8 Evander Holyfield

    9 Larry Holmes

    10 Gene Tunney

Foreman also makes it very, very  clear that number one, Joe Lewis, is in that position by a long way:

"Joe Louis was so far and away the greatest that it is almost an insult to rank anyone second to him," says Foreman. "He was the pure heavyweight. A machine whose timing of the knockout punch was sweet perfection."

(I would add two names to Foreman's list: Jack Johnston. And George Foreman himself. He might not beat Joe Lewis, but if not, I agree about him leaving a grill pattern in his head.)

Let's face it. All these guys are tough.

The only way to answer your question for sure would be to have an elimination bout, which is obviously impossible.

    Good question....

  13. Ali

  14. The one with the only loaded  gun in the vacinity.

If you were serious though, there'd be no way to tell in a battle royale.  Boxing skills will go straight out the window.

Haha.. that would be a great show though..  PPV or reality tv.  Either way, money in the bank.

  15. Jim Jefferies

  16. For sheer toughness, plus size, IMO, LISTON .FOREMAN, TYSON, in that order. Dancers like Ali, Tunney, etc. come out near the back of the line.

  17. well take them all in there prime and it be tyson. HE would leave and everyone else woudl be knocked out cold.

  18. Prime Tyson, Prime Foreman, Prime Holyfield??? Thats a tough question.

F' it, my vote goes to Tyson.
