  1. yes,  probably.

    @joe.  by volume,  espresso does have much more caffeine than  regular coffee.   the serving size is just much smaller though.

It is a misconception that expresso has more caffine than regular coffee.  Caffine is sensative to temperature and a lot is destroyed by espresso machines since they use high temperatures and pressures to brew.  There is more caffine in a regular cup of Joe from McD's than there is in a double shot of espresso.  If you brew tea in an espresso machine, the caffine content will be lower than traditional steeping.
