If you put bleach on a stain on a white cotton shirt will it make the stain white?

It's just on a spot and it needs to stay on that spot because there is a design on the shirt below the spot.

  1. Before you do that, try treating the stain with warm water and dish detergent like Dawn.  If that doesn't work hen you can try the bleach, but dilute it and dab it on the stain.  The problem with the bleach is it may wick into the colored portion of the shirt.

    Bleach will only put a hole in your shirt.

    Try a stain remover for the type of material your shirt is made out of.
