  1. near the alps, or i would suggest sardinia...heard it is very relaxing! buon viaggio!

  2. It would depend on the time of year.  In the summer, I would either want to bum around on the Amalfi Coast or stay in Genova, near the Cinque Terre National Park.  Both places are good for side trips and relaxing on the beach.  If it was in the colder months, I would stick to larger cities further south.  Rome would be ideal, but you could also consider Naples if you like hustle and bustle.

  3. Florence, there are trains that can take you almost anywhere is Italy. There are one-way tickets (no layovers) to Rome, which is where the closest airport is. Florence is a beautiful city full of life and FABULOUS food! It doesn't get too hot in the city because of the tall buildings.

  4. Florence

  5. Modena or Parma-both are smallish urban cities with wonderful food and culture, easy and useful transportation system, and lots of things to do.  Bologna is also wonderful-a college town so it's young and fun, lots of history, amazing food, and easy transportation system.

  6. Rome definitely!!!

  7. I would move to Santa Marguerita. Or Saluzzo, up in the mountains. Or somewhere on Sicily.

  8. i would chose a city in the nord..genova..milano...
