  1. Well....i think you're getting your information off of a treadmill. Those things are not that accurate considering every individual burns calories differently. Honestly, i suggest you go to thedailyplate.com  You can find your activity there, put how long you did it for, how vigorous it was and such. You can put your height, boddy weight and stuff. When you find your activity, RUNNING, it'll show how many calories that actually burns an hour. I used to use the website a while back but stopped. I find it the best though.

  2. xD i dont think those tread mills are accurate because everyone is different, but probably 8 miles or more

  3. you will burn the same exact amount of calories walking as you do running, running just gets it done much faster. For example the average person will burn about 100 calories for every mile covered no matter if it takes you 5 minutes or 5 hours. Weird i know but true.

  4. i'm not sure, but i really don't think you burn 420 calories in just 3 miles.

  5. here's what i always say...

for the same DISTANCE walking is better....

for the same amount of TIME, running is better.

i.e. walking a mile is as good or better for that than running a mile...

but running 20 mins is better than walking 20 mins...

as for calories, to lose a pound of fat you have to burn 3500 calories a week more than you eat.... but realize everything you do burns calories...

don't eat less, and don't over excercise... the larger you are, the easier full body movement sheds pounds. a 500 pound person can lose weight way faster walking, than a person doing the same thing that only weighs 135 pounds.
