  1. Remove all driver assist electronics

    Encourage more overtaking

Points would be awarded all the way down to 15th.

Reduce costs, making it fair for all teams

  2. I'd like to see all of the f1 cars race on the entire nurburgring circuit, not just the shortened version. The spectators would only see the cars about 3 times because its that long but, hey, I'd be in charge.

  3. I would change back to v10's, slicks and fully allow cigarette sponsorship back in the sport.   I would also allow spare cars and cars that come off the track can be craned or pushed back on.  Maybe knowing that they will be able to get back on track after going off will encourage them to be more daring in their cornering and overtaking moves.

Just to p**s off the environmentalists, i would unfreeze the engine development and allow a team to use as many engines and gearboxes in a race weekend.  To annoy the animal lovers, i would make drivers use driving shoes made of fur or some sort of exotic animal skin.

  4. no electronic gizmos,

tyre supplier of own choice and slicks unlimited changes,

    no driver to pits comms,

    bring back one lap qualifying,

    slap the whingers and whiners

sack all court actions make it impossible to sue another team as this just spoils the sport,

    no politics,

cheaper entry for new f1 teams work on the principle of percentages so if team worth more you pay more so ferrari and mclaren pay more than force india but teams like torro rosso and what was super aguri second race teams pay the same as there sister team,

    less preasure on the circuits,

more different arrangements of circuits e.g one race in each country but circuits change year after year so there would be 1 in australia bahrain spain turkey usa england france/belgium etc every year so for england one year brand year after silverstone and so on,

more public support racies e.g btcc at english races indi car for usa etc,

  5. i'd have the winner win 20 points and last place driver 1 point

    bring back suzaka and indianapolis

  6. I think there needs to be a bigger difference between winning and second place, like there was before. Something like:

    15,11,8,6,4,3,2,1

would be good. A point for fastest lap would also be a nice addition, as it would mean drivers pushing to the end and someone who was much faster then the rest but had a car problem could still pick up a point. Oh, and only the top 15 results would count for the drivers championship, so drivers aren't hampered by car problems.

As for circuits I would bring back Imola, the old Hockenheim and make sure Suzuka and Nurburgring was on the calender every year, not every other year. get rid of Barcelona as well, it's a very boring circuit.

In my eyes the ultimate rule change would be to break driver-car bonds. Have say 20 tracks per year, 10 teams, and each driver drives for each team twice. Obviously this has huge problems such as who would pay the drivers, but it's only a vague idea.

  7. I would change the points system and make the first place get more than just two points more than the second placing. And of course, bring back some circuits. Have both the German GPs, it'd be nice to get some new circuits as well.

And no restriction on tyres, having both Michelin and Bridgestone. It's more flexible that way.

  8. 1.  Points for the top ten finishers (15 for a win and 1 for 10th)

    2.  One Point for pole postions and fastest lap

    3.  Salary cap on drivers with a cash bonus for overtaking (then            you'll see some overtaking)

    4.  Bring back the One Hour qualifying session with a 10 place penalty if you dont do a run within the first 15 mins

    5.  Get rid of the engine/gearbox penalty as it's bloody stupid

    6.  Low aero and slick tyres (coming in next year)

  9. Get rid of the rule stating taht cars are not allowed into the pits during safety car. Bring Michelin back so there'll be more than one tyre supplier. Get rid of some of the cost-cutting measures. Forget about running night races just for the benefit of European audiences. More driver-meets-fans sessions. get them to be ambassadors of the sport

Axe the Bahrain GP. Bring back Suzuka. I can think of a lot more to do...

  10. 1. Invest all of the combined teams research budgets in to one standard formula 1 car to be used by all teams. Considering the vast budget this thing would be fast and very competitive. The driver would be forced to rely on himself rather then the car.

    2. Penalties that add time for cutting corners or blocking on straights

    3. Fastest finishing time wins

    4. Tracks like Silverstone, suzuka, motegi, laguna seca, road America, nurburgring nordchelief, Monaco, etc

    5. I'm out of ideas

  11. Points to 8th place is more than enough

    Slicks

    limit downforce

    no driver aids

wider track width (between wheels not racetrack)

    (similar 97 cars)

An exhibition race where the whole field of drivers race 100% identical cars as built by the FIA.

  12. make the points system as it used to be - the old top 6 finishers but award half points for finishing higher than your starting place and same points if you finish in the same you started (half a point per increaed place) get a point for pole and one for fastest lap and bring back the 107% quali rule and then get rid of the blue flag to make backmarkers move over

  13. let the points go further down

1 team car in an ideal world

brans hatch and silverstone a year

drivers being lapped dont have to let cars past

    no restrictions on tyers

  14. get every hing bck 2 how it was 7 years bck nd more trks

  15. Shift the balance towards mechanical grip in order to get more passing.  That would mean returning to slicks to start but I'd also mandate much smaller rear wing with technical requirements limiting turbulence.

Maximum budget of $150 million (including television related payments) so that smaller teams can at least compete with the big guys.  And that will mean more teams get started.  Limit the grid to 30 cars.

Remove the per lap limit on KERS discharge - more passing.

One new track has to have a section where the cars drive upside down (yes it would be straight and reasonably high speed so they don't fall off!!!).  Just to make it clear to all other series that F1 is the ultimate.

It would be great if some key corners could have an alternate line that the drivers regard as attractive - - maybe use a wider line but give it some banking to increase speed.  This too would increase passing without being too artificial.

Points down to 12th with Winner getting more than 2 points more than the second place finisher.  I agree with the idea of a point for pole and a point for fast lap.

  16. Ooh, lots to do!

    1. Find 2 new race teams

    2. A piont given for pole position

    3. Point for fastest race lap

    4. Choice of V8, V10 or V12, 2.4 litre engines

    5. Adeliade race track brought back

    6. Back to 1 flying lap qualifying

    7. Allowed to pit soon as saftey car goes out.

  17. bring back 3 tyre supplyers: Bridgestone, Goodyear, & Michellin.
