  1. No, hair conditioner is way too thick and will leave grease spots on the clothes. Use distilled white vinegar. That's all I use for my fabric softener. and contrary to popular belief, clothes will NOT smell like vinegar after doing this. The smell leaves when the clothes are dry. The smell of vinegar always leaves after it dries, no matter what it's on.

  2. do without until you get some more.

  3. No because it will leave a residue that will impregnate the fibers (particularly natural ones) attract airbone dirt and body oils to stain the garment.  But, you can substitute white vinegar to the rinse water which acts like a fabric softener and the smell dissapates in the dryer.  Or add 1/2 cup baking soda right along with the detergent.

  4. No, that would cost too much.

  5. No, but you can use white vinegar just make sure you turn the extra rinse on so your clothes don't smell like it.

  6. Eww no I don't think that would be a very good idea, go without any softener, it will be ok!

  7. no that will ruin the washer

  8. Hmmmm, IDK. But it could be worth a shot. Heck we all want nice soft clothes. Heck, you go right ahead and try it, then tell us how it worked. LMFAO
