If you remove someone from your friend list, do you still stay in their's?

I used to have a friend and I am not in her list anymore, but she is still in my list, I have not removed her. So what happened? I guess she removed me but I guess she stays in mine until I do the same.

If someone click remove from the Friends list, this does not remove all contact of that person. To do this, you need to go to their page and click on remove under their photo/avatar and this breaks all contact both ways.
