  1. Believe it or not, I think that touching babies is crucial to their normal development.


  2. I manage quite well without romance in my life, but then I'm 80 and I've been there and done that already.

  3. The lack of s*x would be the least of one's problems without the sense of touch.

    A person would die.

  4. Romantic touch is not the only kind of touch -- when someone gives you a hug, it releases progesterone. Your body can get all the same kinds of beneficial chemicals from snuggling up with your kids or hugging a friend.

    It is different for everyone. For those of us who live alone and sleep alone, some are sad and/or frustrated, while others are perfectly content and use the extra energy we are not devoting to a significant other for all kinds of work and creative pursuits.
