I'd pay the best ones about $50,000. That's what I think they're worth. Around $50,000 per year. The worst would get about 1/2 that. Of course, I would be ruler of the world so that takes care of the whole supply and demand issue too. So they only get what I decide to pay them. I'm not sure what I would pay the owners. But then again, that doesn't matter because I would be ruler of the world and I would own every team. What would you pay them per year?

  1. the best about 25 million and the worst about 10 thousand

  2. They are the best one percent of the best one percent of baseball players in the world. They have earned their salaries!

Obviously, the owners, who want to make a profit, would not be paying these players the salaries we see unless they were making a profit off of them. They provide a product for a business that is very successful and lucrative for their bosses. If I had a job that did the same, I would expect to be paid accordingly. As I said before, the owners decide to play these player their salaries. No successful owner of a business would pay their employees more than the profits they were making. They think they are worth what they pay them so what is the problem with that????

  3. its a free market

    pay is deserved

  4. I would say no more than $100,000 tops for the really good players. In a perfect world all baseball teams would be alloted the same amount of money to spend on an entire teams salaries. Almost like a fantasy baseball league. Then there would be no teams stacked with 10 overpaid all-stars. I used to think I would pay them less than 100k, but I know a couple of minor league guys and they actually put in a lot of hours of practice, games and travelling. They barely have time for friends or families. Its almost like a real job. 8 hour days or more. I think the lowest salary I would dip to would be about 25k.

  5. it would  be a game to game basis in which players are payed according to how they did that game and given a check every night like if they hit a HR it would be $5,000 bonus or a game winning hit bonus 8,000 or a complete game shutout gets 10,000 and so on

  6. so basically, you are asking how much would God pay a baseball player?

  7. I think they should have slaty caps for every sport. My cousin gil Meche makes 11 mil a year for die years. So look the salary cap needs to be no more than fifty million. Now that's what it should be for every sport because persanoly I think sports players sometimes get paid to much. But it may just be me.

  8. $32/hr....seems fair, more than most people

  9. Never any more than I make.

  10. The good ones would get paid 1.5% of ticket sales for that day and the not as good ones would get 0.5% of ticket sales for that day. This would mean that if they aren't getting the fans to come they would make less money. So they better do good. And on road games it is $1000-$3500 a game.
