  1. No.  Have you ever tasted soap?  You can use just a wet toothbrush or baking soda.  Baking soda can be abrasive so don't use it too often.  It will freshen your breath though

  2. isnt using a bar of soap toxic or something. well if you put it in your mouth.

  3. Just brush your teeth and floss... one day without toothpaste won't kill you.

  4. Haven't you seen the Christmas Story? People use soap in your mouth as a punishment! Never put it in your mouth on purpose. I'd just brush with water and then head to the store in the morning.

  5. No, it tastes nasty. If you want a substitute try baking soda. It doesn't taste all that nice either but it sure beats bar soap! Plus, it's good for your teeth. It is natural and has the ability to clean your teeth well--slightly abrasive without damaging your teeth--so you get a nice, good clean mouth. Just dampen your toothbrush and dip into into the baking soda.

  6. do not use soap, you are not supposed to ingest soap, granted it will not kill you but it is not good for your body. Plus it will not do anything to clean your teeth, the main component of tooth paste that cleans your teeth is floride, this being absent is all soaps

  7. toothpaste isn't necessay to clean your teeth. a toothbrush and some floss is adequate.

  8. Don't use soap, it has no benefit for your teeth and may be harmful to your gums.

Tooth paste does not actually work like soap, what it does is provide a certain amount of fluoride to the teeth and assists in removing plaque, but just flossing and brushing even with just water is enough if it is to just hold you over until you get some more tooth paste.
