If you runaway? ill be 18 in 4 months?

and your parents report it, and i try to get a job. will that s***w things up? will they find out?

most police dpts. put runaway names on a list and unless they are given information as to your whereabouts they simply wait for you to turn up. if that's what you want to do you can manage pretty easily for 4 mons. by the time your w-4 gets turned in and enters the system you'll be legal. i assume you have a good reason,so i'll just say "good luck".

You can't get a job anyway. If you are under 18 a work permit is required, and that has to be signed by your parents. So, either come back home for 4 months, or tough it out. The age doesn't matter. What I mean is if they catch you even, let's say the day before your 18th birthday, they will still have to return you back home.

Stick it out until you are 18 for sure. Getting a job will definatley not help you if you are hiding. If you absolutly cannot go back home for some reason go to a shelter or call a hotline. They can help you. If you have a good enough reason for running away, you will not get into trouble for it. If you are being abused or something along those lines go to the police for help. They will help you.

To get a job, you use your SSN, that is an easy way to trace you.
