  4. Did it crash?  If not why would you phone anybody?  The pilot is probably already on the radio to ATC declaring an emergency.

  7. You've done what you can in telling local ATC, they'll do anything that's necessary. A misfiring engine doesn't necessarily mean a crash.

    Or, the local TV station to come and get a camera on it.
