I have intervened, when i saw three girls attacking another girl at a bus stop, i told the girl to come and stand beside me. You should have heard the torrent of abuse i was subjected to by the girls. the were like baying animals toward me and the wee girl. they left a short time later. what would you have done?

  1. always. Have done this 3 times since Christmas. Did it 2 weeks ago and was late for an exam but i couldnt walk by. NO ONE else walking past wanted to intervene so I had to.

I just think of my own kids and hope that someone would step in to protect them.

Well done for doing what you did.

  2. Exactly what you have done ,excellent, the trouble is these girls are as bad as the boys and think nothing of pulling a knife, and it's not just drugs and alcohol that fuels their anger it is almost a desired way of life. I honestly despair of what is going to happen in the future.

  3. It was the right thing to do, honestly, and assuming that they were all your peers, it was commendable and it shows very strong fiber and moral character.

  4. Experience has taught Me to clearly understand

what is taking place before acting.

    1. It is important to protect anyone who is in danger

with- out you also becoming a victim of violence.

2.Ready in your mind immediately the situation

that is posing a threat or menace applies when

one tries to frighten someone by means of a

      look, move-meant, or weapon :

    3.How many ,being 1 more than 2 or 3,possible

gang? Unfortunately there are times one must

size up this concern Quick to prevent harm to

yourself and the person that you are protecting.

Never be ignorant to the fact of what might

Happen if you are dealt with unjustifiable odds!.

4.Personally,if the situation demands the use of

       force, take it.

  5. Most definitely!  I hope someone would do the same for my child!

  6. Children are so cruel sometimes. I would have done the same thing no child deserves to be humiliated and belittled.

  7. iwould have to step in too many people walk by and do not get involved that is why some of the younger teens are running their estates, i would hope someone would do the same for my children, best of luck with your answers.

  8. I'd bust a cap in all of them. LOL Yes, I would and have. They

are bullies. People should get involved more today. Atleast,

    call the police.

  9. Yeh of course I would stand you for the poor girl! Grr I really hate bullies who think they are better that the rest. You hear of people who become suicidal because of all of the abuse, and it doesnt have to happen! Good on you!

  10. it's the human instinct. But i would think twice before getting myself into those things. unless i feel that i have to i wouldn't bother.

  11. Absolutely.  You should always help if you see someone (child or adult) being bullied.  You did the right thing.  Kids can be so cruel.  I would hope if it happened to my child, someone like you would be there to help him out.  Well done!

  12. I was in a similar situation when i was young and at school and i stood by and let the physical bullying continue (whilst wishing i had the guts to stop it).

If i saw that same situation today i'd get right in the middle and stop the abuse. It might only be enough to stop the abuse at that very moment but. I'd feel wrong if i stood by and did nothing again.

  13. same thing, i hate bullies!!!!!  and unless challenged and corrected they remain bullies!  plus, it seems like schools don't get involved until the tortured, bullied child blows up the school or goes on a shooting rampage.  a lot of school violence blows my mind.  as people, we need to be as proactive as we can to stamp out violence.  it is simply unacceptable unless self defense.  children and adults need to get the message that violence is not the way to resolve any situation. i worry about how violent some children and teenagers seem, almost sadistic. and posting their crimes on youtube and such, no, they need to be dealt with seriously and the bullied need to be protected.  too many young children kill themselves bc of bullies.

  14. It got so bad with me when I was a little kid, that I ended up running to some random persons house and asking to go inside. I did, and luckily that person was not only trustworthy, but KNEW the much older kids that were bullying me because she was friends with the mother of one of them. That put an end to it.

So I think you did the right thing. Could pretend to be a relative of the child and I think that would stop the bullies from giving you abuse.  That way they wouldn't think you were interfering.

  15. Good for you! Yes. I would intervene but, I work at a school and am also a parent. I'm used to being bossy with kids!

  16. I would intervene (as I have done in the past).  It's easy to be a coward in a pack.

  17. i would have done things exactly the same as you. good on you for sticking up for somebody. these days people feel afraid to intervene so bullies have gradually gained more power.

  18. Yes, I would, and If I got some verbal abuse from the bullies, I am sure my quick witted -sarcastic mouth would come to my defence

  19. I always intervene when it comes to children and women.

  20. I work all day long with kids  teenager's like this and for sure I would intervene

  21. I've done this on numerous occasions over the years. My method of dealing with it was to grab the offending punk by the collar and kick him in the *** as I was hurling him away from the victim.

When their parents found out why I did it, they thumped on them for a while. I understand that physical violence is not the answer, but sometimes you have to speak to people in their own language, know what I mean?

  22. I could not just walk past. These bullies should be sorted out once and for all.

  23. i would do the same as you, well done the little lass was most likely terrified
