  1. Honestly - before I had kids, I was all about "talking it out" and "getting the group to stand up to the bully."

Now that I see what bullies do in schools today, my rule is that I go straight to the parents, and let them know that legal action will follow if they are unable to control their child.

Believe me, I have had more interactions with the police than I ever thought I would, but bullies understand only one thing, and that is when someone else has more power.

  2. as someone who has been bullied, and seen others bullied, i would say your best option is to tell a teacher, guidance counselor, or school administrator, as most schools have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying. DO NOT CONFRONT THE BULLY!

  3. I go up to the person and tell them to stop. It's not right for anybody to be made fun of or pushed around.

  4. I'm in middle school and saddly you can't do anything because if you tell a teacher everyone will know it was you and you'll be a tattletale and noone will want to be your friend and you can't stand up for the kids because you'll be bullied next beleive me I know this happened to me so you can't do anything except join the bullier or walk away. :(

  5. I was pupil support at my school for a while... (still got the badge!).. So stopping bullies from bullying was part of my job.

  6. Go up to the bully and tell them to stop... me being in middle school I would go up to a teacher and tell them.  I would stick up for them even if I dont like/know them.

  7. Tell the person to leave them alone; ask the person if they were OK then report the person

  8. l0lll laugh AHAH

  9. i always do this.

if they are being bullied verbally, i wil go up to the bully and show where he falls short (no bully is perfect. if they were they wouldnt have to pick on others)

if they are physically bullied i would go up to the bully and tell him to pick on ME. that if they are so tough not to be picking on someone smaller but to pick on a 5' 9" 180 pound boxer who benches 265. lets see how tough they feel they are then/.

  10. When I was in school, I always casually intervened somehow.  If a girl was getting picked on, I'd say "Hey Tiffany.  I need to ask you something, can you come here?"  It got her away from the situation and at least temporarily put a stop to it.  There were a couple times that I lost my cool and just went up to the bully and asked them what the h**l their problem was.  It usually led to some heated discussions, but at least they backed off for awhile.
