If you search a name in Facebook, can that personsee that you have?

I know that on My Space they can't, but, i'm not sure about Facebook. I'm trying to find a girl I went to high school with, but, don't want her to know that i'm searching her. Thanks in advance!:}

Nope they wont know u are looking for them unless u message them, or send a friend request.
