write to all 3 credit bureaus to have EACH of them investigate it?

What if the debt listed with the company you know to be false, if you get in touch with them and they agree to remove it, then do you have to write to each of the credit bureaus to have them remove the information, or will they automatically update their files? And what if the company doesn't respond to you asking that they remove the invalid debt so you correspond with the credit bureaus and notify them of this, THEN, will you need to write to each credit bureau or just one to notify them that the debt is verifiably invalid but the company reporting it won't respond ?

  1. If the entry is on all three credit report then yes, dispute the incorrect entry with all three. The law requires them to respond to you within a certain time frame, I believe 30 days, for more information on your credit rights you should read this article, http://www.monitorbankrates.com/how-to-b...

  2. You have to contact them right away. You also have to contact your bank or credit card provider or the institution who provided the financial service.
