  1. I live in a small country town so the fee's wern't really bad we paid $200 a term and my son went there for just preschool and he had to re-peat agin do he went for 2 years. I pulled my son out as eventually i would end up with 3 kids there and i know i wouldn't of been able to afford this.

  2. My girls did grades 9-12 in a private "hands on" high school. We paid 24000 a year for the both of them and they graduated this past June. Now we're paying that per kid to send them to college!

  3. Yeah, private is freaking expensive.   It's between $5,000 to $10,000. per year.   My oldest is six and we wanted to keep her in private or a montessori, it looks like we'll going to have to pay close to 10grans for the school year.   That does no include extra curricular activity or uniforms and other stuff.   Looks like we might cough up $15,000.   As for our youngest, we'll probably be paying $7,000 with supplies and deposit.

Shop around, you might find one that's not way over board, but also reputable.   Good luck.

  4. We send our children to private school for grades 6-12 because our town's school system only goes to grade 5.

For the 07-08 school year, we paid a total of about $33,000 to send 3/4 of our children to private school. Our daughter was in a non afflicted private high school and it was $11,000 a year. Our son is in prep school for sports and we get the discount (rolling eyes) price of  $12,000 a year. Our 2nd daughter was in the middle school program at the school our oldest attended and it was $9,000 a year.

  5. at a private school i work at is is about 2,000 a year it is from kinder-garden- 12.

  6. I'm in So Cal and the desired private schools (religious and non-religious) have tuition & yearly fees (books, field trips, etc) from about $10,000 to $30,000 a year. There are some less expensive religious schools, but the "good" ones usually expect big donations and lots of participation (past and future) in the church. Expected donations for the schools with lower tuition ($10,000) start about about $750 and for higher tuition schools, $1500 is a start. (If one isn't on scholarship.) Of course some families donate less, and some much much more.  At schools that draw students from the most expensive neighborhoods (eg: near Beverly Hills), often the donations are based on income. If you're well off, a rep from the school will come to your house and tell you the amount they'd like and they are good at their job. ugh

My teen son has been in private school since K. No regrets even though it's expensive. But hey, I only spend about $150 a year on his uniforms...

  7. My daughter has gone to a private school from pre-k. Last year we paid $6500.00 per year.

This year she begins a new school and the tuition is roughly $32,000.00 per year.

  8. The private school my girls attended goes from grades 7-12. The middle school program, grades 7-8, is $8,000yr and the high school program, grades 9-12, is $10,000. Our oldest graduated last year and our youngest will be starting the 8th grade.

Our son is a junior in high school and this year at a special boarding school that is costing us $50,000...
