  1. yes in certain restaraunts you are aloud to bring your own wine, but they will charge you whats called a corkage fee. . . and your establishment still needs to be licensed as far as i know. . . even though they are 'serving' themselves the wine, in order to have them drink it there the restaraunt needs to have a license like any other restaraunt or bar that serves alcohol

  2. I'm not sure if you mean that you, as the customer, have no licenses, but if you bring your own wine to a restaurant you do still have to be 21 years old (in the US).  Because the restaurant is not actually selling you the wine, you might not be carded, but they're still responsible if you get in trouble for drinking.

If the restaurant doesn't have a license to serve wine, they may or may not charge you a "corking fee."  This fee (usually $5-20 depending on the restaurant) is to cover the money that you're NOT spending on drinks from the restaurant, and also to ensure that you tip your server for opening the bottle (which you should let him/her do, if he/she is equipped).  Since they can't sell it period, they might not charge you.  Your best bet is to call the restaurant and ask if you can bring your own bottle.

  3. I IMAGINE IT WOULD DEPEND ON WHAT STATE YOU'RE IN.  IN CA., A CUSTOMER CAN BRING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES INTO A RESTAURANT WITH NO LIC. AND ENJOY IT FOR THEIR OWN CONSUMPTION.  IF YOU TRY TO SELL A GLASS OF THAT PRIVATE STOCK YOU NEED A LICENSE.
