  1. Trick question, you need to know how much air is in the bag to start with.  if it's 40% full and you squeeze it to be 80%, then you doubled the pressure...  Understand?

  2. would it go away?  C. i guess

  3. D

  4. increase perhaps

  5. c)

  6. P1V1=P2V2

    Let

    1*1=P2*.8

    P2=1/.8=1.25

    %age=125%

  7. Use the formula: PV = constant

    i.e. P1*V1 = P2*V2

    P2 = P1*V1/V2 = P1 * V1 / 0.8V1 = p1/0.8 = 1.25 P1 = 125% of P1

    Answer is C

  8. C)Surely it would increase.

  9. I am making a few assumptions here, but pressure will increase unless you have a leak.

    You have in effect taken the volume down to 20% while keeping the contents the same.  50% would be a 100% increase so, 75 percent should equal at pressure increase of 150%, as your packing the same volume into again 1/2 the space.

    a)150%?

    Sorry you really need a good physics guy, I am using logic

  10. It will increase by 25%, not 125%.  The question is badly written.
