  1. No specialty as in type of food. but I have long had an idea of having several chefs on a staff at my restaurant, and allow the customers to actually help the chef prepare their meal. Kinda like a Japanese steak house, except that the customers come there expecting to help cook. I think with the current peak in interest in cooking shows, food network, this is an idea that would go.

  6. Real food, comfort food, no mixes or preservatives, fried chicken, good biscuits, real butter, fresh veggies(or at least flash frozen), Pot roast, potato pancakes, Beef stew, rib roast, scalloped potatoes, chocolate cake, real strawberry shortcake.

  9. Depends on where you are.

I am currently working in China where the humble sandwich is not so popular or easy to find.

I want to start a chain of sandwich shops, with a variety of content, types of bread and so on. From the healthy salad roll, to fatty pork on white (with apple sauce).

Also have salads and probably french fries.

For a real restaurant I would with an easily identifiable theme (countries are one example) such as healthy or decadent.

  10. Thai food.

  11. Italian... they have the best foods.

    All those pastas...

    Pizza...

    Lasagna...

And other assorted meats and dishes.

Just thinking of it makes me want a pesto pasta dish.

  12. My restaurant would specialize in some down home country kitchen cooking. Including BBQ. If it's some southern dishes you want then my restaurant would be the one to come to. Greens, Beans, Taters, Cornbread, Rice, Chicken, Ribs, Pork, Beef, Country Fried Steak, Okra, Chitterlings and Hog Maws. If it's country or as some would call soul food, I will have it. And at a great affordable price. For Breakfast Lunch and Dinner Rogers' Country Kitchen is the WInner. Best BBQ in the country can't nobody beat my meat the place to go when you want to eat!!

  13. I would like to start a restaurant that had a 50's & 60's jazz/blues/swing theme!!

Foods that were popular that day.

Have a big dance floor and offer dance lessons during the day!

  14. Comfort food!  My family always says I should open a place and call it Mom's place and have one thing as a special each day and then just regular things on the menu.  Everywhere I go I am asked to cook and I LOVE it!  It is so rewarding to me and I put a special ingredient in all my dishes it is called "Love".  I am always asked for my recipes and share many, but some are just in my head and have no real recipe so it is hard to put on paper, they are passed down from generations and lots or times spent in the kitchens of my beautiful grandmothers, both who taught me to cook from scratch, all homemade at my house even the noodles and biscuits and I have no recipe just watched Grandma.  My Aunts were all Great cooks to and I loved being in the kitchen and still do.  Oh how I ramble on.  Sorry.

  15. Gourmet cheese burgers, steaks, comfort food, good omelette's for breakfast, country fried steak and chicken for lunch and dinner...good salads, and loaded baked potatoes...and some good cheese drop bisquits ripped off from Red Lobster.
