  1. no its a gradual change. just like the border of 2 states

  2. Yes, but only because sunlight is always different on opposite sides unless it's noon or completely dark out.

  3. Not really, the time gap would be marginal

  4. It will be somewhat darker in the East than in the West (if it's about sunset) but that happens no matter where you are standing, it doesn't have to be where time zones are divided.  When it's about sunRISE, it will be lighter to the East than the West.

  5. no. the sun would be in one place. It would either be night or day, sunset or sunrise. if we had two suns then maybe.

  6. No. Time zones are semi-arbitrary in that they ahve to bne imposed somewhere but unless you are in the middle of one they are not that much different from each other.

  7. If you stood across two time zones at midday (ie with the sun directly overhead), the amount of sunlight would obviously be identical on both your hands.  Time zones are arbitrary demarcations created by man.  They have no affect on the amount of sunlight.

About the only thing that happens when you stand on a time zone is your mobile/cell phone goes nuts trying to work out which time zone it's in as it bounces from tower to tower.  LOL

However, if you want a real claim to fame, go have your photo taken on the International Dateline.  I have pictures with half of me in today and the other half in yesterday.

  8. no. they have the same time but different dates
