If you subscribe to an RSS feed, and read a post, does that count as a 'hit' on a site's Web counter?

Basically -- is there a way of tracking how many people subscribe to an RSS feed?

  1. yes it would be considered a hit but the ads that you display in your site will not be displayed in your rss feed.Only your blog posts will be displayed.........


  2. its just a hit thats it... Your ads on homepage are not displayed here so there is a disadvantage of using RSS , it doesnt give u any ads click... But there is chance of getting more traffic by using it...

  3. Anytime your feed is accessed, it will count as a hit to your website if you have some kind of tracking system. However, if you really want to track your feed, I'd recommend you look at FeedBurner.
