If you supect the dog for giving you strep throat what can be done to the dog to stop it?

Dogs may share the streptococcus bacteria with a human in rare cases.  The infection is treated with antibiotics.

Remember not to kiss your dog if the vet diagnoses the infection.

I doubt seriously if your dog gave you strep throat.  It is more likely you were around someone that had it. Or you were out and touched something and then touched your mouth.  You need to learn to wash your hands often.  If you have Strep Throat, your Dr. would have had to do a throat culture to be sure.  At that time you could have asked him if your dog gave it to you and I am quite sure he would have said "No".

I suppose you could take the dog to the vet's to see if it has a treatable throat infection.
