hey,here I'll explain my situation.

I plan on taking AP european history my sophmore year, in replacement with Global 10 Honors. (my guidance counselor said it was the good choice.) I forgot to ask if I take AP euro, do i need to take my global regents my junior year,or what? BTW, i live in NY.

Thanks all who give me an answer!

  1. Yes, u do still have to take the global regents to fulfill the NYS requirement. however, if u can make it to an ap class, then the regents will be so easy u can sleep trhough it. honestly, a regents is like nothing compared to an ap. even a 2 on an ap is like a 95 or so on the regents.

u will take the ap test in may. then, in june, you will take the global regents. so, itll be good. actually, in my school, everyone takes ap european in 10th so we all take ap test then the regents.

dont worry. itll all work out. advise for european history: remember and write down all important documents like magna carta, and other kinds of credos.

  2. i'm doing the same thing as you.  My guidance counsler said that we will take both the global regents and the AP euro test next spring.  I also heard that after taking the AP class the global regents is easy compared to the AP test. Hope this Helps!!

  3. I don't think you have to take global then,  - the AP course should fulfill the requirement but you still have to take the regents test. Double check with your guidance counselor.

Just like if you take AP English in 11th you still have to take the regents at the end of the year.
