A date can be anywhere......it depends how the invite was presented.  If you said "hey I am going to grab food wanna go?"  not date.

If asked " Would you like to go withme sometime and get something to eat?" that would be a  date....then you set date and time.

I am married and still have guy friends we go to dinner all the time does that mean that I am cheating on my hubby? No and he has female friends (they are all married also) and we even all go out at once. So no it is not a date unless you take it to the next steps. Hope this helps

Nope. Ive been to Starbucks for coffee with a close female friend and my gf didn't consider it a date. Neither did I. Neither did the friend. It was just coffee with a friend. Nothing more.

You could take someone of the opposite s*x out to somewhere very nice and it could be a date... or two friends sharing a meal... a business meeting or celebration...

It's not where you go that makes it a date or not. It's more the intentions of the people involved.

I would say this may be an acceptable place for young people to dine when they are strapped for money.

A date is when one is asked to go out with intentions of trying to continue a relationship. Where you go does not really matter. It is all about the person you want to empress.

My brother took me out for a treat at mcdonalds but it was not a date.
