  1. Girl, I am the queen of heartburn, lol. But yes, that's happened to me before. My mom has GERD as well (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease). I take protonix and prilosec as well as gaviscon. But after awhile, it still wasn't healing that much. So I started trying home remedies. And let me tell you, I think it's gotten much better (knock on wood) ever since I've been doing those plus taking pills. Drink ice water with a twist of lemon in it. I drink it all the time. I don't even drink soda or caffeinated beverages anymore. Acid reflux is actually from your stomach NOT producing enough acid. Lemons are acidic, so I guss it's adding to the acid to make it go away some. Either way, it works really well. Also try eating a banana. For some reason it's always helped me with heartburn. And last but not least, chew gum! I know that soudns weird, but it really works. Whenever I get it really bad,  I chew gum. Make sure it's sugarless though. I think by constantly swallowing, your saliva is soothing your esophagus. Anywaym try ad not to eat as many junk foods. Eat more healthy and drink more water (with lemon!) Lol. I've been doing that, and it's gotten better. Hope you feel better soon.

    God Bless!

  2. You got more going on than just GERD.  Make sure you are not laying down after eating, and don't over stuff yourself.  Watch what type of foods you eat also.  I had to delete a lot of things from my menu.  Make sure you are drinking a lot of water also.  I found that helped a lot.  If this happens at night when you go to bed prop your head up higher in the bed.  Make sure you tell your doctor about this also.

  3. i dont have this problem, but those medications just inhibit the acids. sounds like you have a problem with the pyloric sphincter. Try sitting up while you eat and even up to 2 hours after you eat. I would make an appointment with a specialist if this problem continues.

  4. I don't have this BUT I really think you should try Slippery Elm Bark. It is an  herbal remedy that can be bought at GMC or any place that sells herbal supplements. I was near surgery and as a last resort my dr. reccommended it and it has changed my life.
