If you take too many advil pills by accident what could happen?

I accidental took two 800mg pills, my stomach hurt for awhile, but that was it.

Just an addendum to answer #2.  Advil is actually filtered by the kidneys, so overdosing on it can leave you with altered creatinine levels for the rest of your life.  Prolonged OD can lead to renal failure and dialysis.

Seek emergency medical attention if you think you have used too much of this medicine. Symptoms of an Advil overdose may include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, drowsiness, black or bloody stools, coughing up blood, shallow breathing, fainting, or coma.

Hmmm, not fun.

Depends on how many you have taken in a day. If you have intentionally taken the whole bottle to overdose on them, you should probably visit the emergency room NOW so you can have your stomach pumped and your liver doesn't have to process all of it. If you have been taking it for pain and accidentally took 1-2 more pills than it says within the 24 hour range, PAY ATTENTION and don't do it again. The more medications you take, the more your liver has to process it.

why do you want to take too many. 2-3 depending on weight is enough for atleast 6hrs.
